Diligence refers to showing care and conscientiousness in one’s duties or work. To be conscientious means that someone desires to do their work or duties well and thoroughly, not half-heartedly. We can build a strong case for Christians to be the most hard-working, diligent, clean, well-groomed and dressed people around. We should have discipline and be the exact opposite of lazy. We should know how to rest, but also know how to work.
