The Bible records here four incidents in the ministry of Jesus Christ, two of which we examined before we remember the Lord at His table. In the first pericope, the Lord healed a paralyzed man who was lowered through the rooftop. The real point of this section is not the healing, but rather the fact that Jesus indeed has power to forgive sins.
In the second section, we see that Jesus called (commanded) Levi to follow Him. Then He went to spend time with sinners in order to call them to repentance.
