Tom McParlan shared how men ought to love their wife just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her (Ephesians 5:25). What kind of love exactly, is this? A husbands love is to seek to protect the wife from unholiness in the same sense that Christ wants to present His church, holy and blameless.
