From the Pulpit...

This morning we study the book of Revelation, particularly on the topic that Christmas has been opposed since before it began. Satan does not want the Lord Jesus Christ to succeed in His mission in the world. He has done-and is doing-and will do-whatever He can to prevent it. Since he failed to kill Christ as a baby in Bethlehem, and as a man in Jerusalem, we can certainly expect that he will do everything in his power to prevent God and Christ from accomplishing their work in Their church and Their people, and in Their world. This probably includes things like obscuring the true meaning of Christmas, causing people to despise the church, causing the church to be worthy of some of that despising, and distracting people with all kinds of sensory things. Christmas was endangered before Christ was even born. Satan is still trying to devour Christmas. What are you doing to do about it?
