From the Pulpit...

This morning we continue our study where Amos warns Israel to turn from all the idols they placed before God, all these efforts to serve to masters. God says away with it as judgement will fall upon you! But if there is repentance turning to God, He will be gracious and able to spare his wrath. We also started in chapter six where we see the people enjoying a life of ease, but Amos seeks to disrupt their complacency by again prefacing his message with woe-a word that would have stirred up images of death in the minds of his audience.
