The passage extols a high view of marriage. Those not yet married need to file this away and plan to live by it. Those married need to work hard to keep their marriage working well. Do what you can to avoid a bad outcome-but never compromising your faith, of course. Even more importantly, do what you can to make it a happy and enjoyable situation. That will necessitate a remarkable level of unselfishness, but it will honor God, the creator of marriage.
