It is interesting how the apostle navigates this situation. But he manages to give sound Spiritual counsel about some complicated issues. He supports the idea of celibacy, but not for the wrong reasons (asceticism). He has some very practical counsel for the time in which he lived. And it applies to our time as well. He supports marriage as well. What exactly the advice would be for you depends on the present circumstances of society and your own spiritual maturity and giftedness.
