We touched on several topics in our introduction to the New Testament use of the Old Testament. These included the definition of a type, the various Old Testament books that are not mentioned at all in the New Testament, how the New Testament sometimes quotes texts from outside of the Bible, static meaning of the Old Testament text, the difficulty with double fulfillment, the level of contextuality in the NT authors' use of the OT, lexical priming, and a bit about reader-response hermeneutics.
