At our Lord's Table service, we examined what Jesus experienced as he prayed in Gethsemane. We observed that his agony started before the cruel beatings and crucifixion as he sweat blood. We looked at the medical description of this condition (hematidrosis) which was caused by the extreme stress of the situation.
