From the Pulpit...

The wisdom of Proverbs turns our attention to the need to avoid sudden entrapment and ruin in financial matters. We learn not to become entangled in another person's debt by becoming surety or a pledge, or in today's terms "co-signing" a loan. The lessons here can be generalized to help us avoid generally risky financial decisions. We learn that if we have gotten ourselves into a situation like this that we need to humble ourselves and take decisive steps to fix the problem.
