In this lesson we recount that God selected Moses for the exalted position of leading His people out of Egypt and through forty years in the wilderness to the promised land. At long last, Moses lost his patience with the people when they needed water and accused him and Aaron of bringing them into the wilderness to perish there. God told Moses to speak to the rock and water would flow. In his anger, Moses struck the rock twice, failing to believe God and uphold His holiness before the people. This act of impatience is negative example of how we should address problems we face.
