Abraham and Sarah never saw the full fulfillment of God's promises to them, but their faith persevered through death because they were looking forward to homeland of heavenly origin. The testimonies of Abraham, Sarah, and many others who lived by faith have been preserved in Hebrews 11 to challenge us to live with their kind of steadfast, forward-looking faith that is rewarded by God, for “He who promised is faithful” (Heb 10:22).
