Proverbs 9 uses the imagery of two banquets, one prepared by Lady Wisdom and the other Lady Folly. Both hosts prepare a meal and call out to the young naive to come and enjoy their delicacies. The choice is a matter of life or death. This chapter concludes the first major section of Proverbs, where Solomon is beckoning us to choose wisdom and forsake the path of folly.
