From the Pulpit...

Proverbs teaches us that the wise person is humble. Humility begins with a fear of the Lord, demonstrates a teachable spirit, honors others, and does not praise oneself or seek praise from others. Scripture tells us that God honors the humble and will exalt them in due time. If Jesus willingly humbled himself by laying aside the glory He received in heaven, we should not think highly of ourselves but cultivate a humble spirit.
