From the Pulpit...

The apostle Paul commends the faith and maturity of the Christians in Rome, then speaks of his role in preaching the Gospel to the Gentiles as that of a priest. His priestly service is not in the temple, but in relation to his bringing Gentiles to God. God's will in missions is the redemption of sinners who become acceptable in His sight, thus bringing Him glory. God's will in missions is also the advance of the Gospel to unreached lands. Paul explains in this text that He wants to take the Gospel where it had not yet been preached.
