Proverbs Series: Wealth & Poverty - Jansen Lorch
In this message, we study what the book of Proverbs has to say about wealth and poverty. Wealth is not inherently sinful, but it can pose dangers if we pursue it above godliness. An insatiable desire for wealth can lead to poverty, just as much as laziness does. Proverbs warns against oppressing the poor to increase wealth, as well as other dishonest, evil, and deceitful methods. The book of Proverbs reminds us that godliness, peace, love, discernment, and wisdom, are better qualities to possess than gold or silver. In the end, God blesses the humble and lowly who are diligent, honest, and vigilant in their work.
