After reading of Hosea 11, we studied the last 7 verses of 1 John 4, concerning our love for God, God's love for us, and how that love pushes out fear regarding the matter of judgment. We saw an interesting translation issue at 4:17 where a phrase "in this" points backward to verse 16 (contrary to the NKJV), instead of forward to the remainder of verse 17.
