After reading of Proverbs 24, Pastor Postiff preached on the short parable of the unprofitable servant. We learned that it focuses our attention on humble service for God. We must not be self-congratulatory, or expect profuse thanks for that work which we are supposed to do. We examined what the Christian's responsibilities are and how we should be doing all of them, regardless of any charges of legalism.

We spent a few minutes thinking about the example of the master who did not show gratitude, and how as Christians we should not be like that. Rather, the Lord was simply using a common practice in the current culture to illustrate His point.
