After reading Proverbs 29, we studied what is traditionally called the parable of the minas. However, the real point of the parable is to teach that there is going to be a delay in the coming of the kingdom. During the delay, the king's servants are to be busy carrying out their responsibilities. This is critical because the king will return and evaluate his servants for their faithfulness in carrying out their (religious) duties.
