From the Pulpit...

We read Judges 14 and heard a very encouraging report from missionary David Kurowicki. We considered a few Bible questions as well, including a textual variant at Hebrews 4:2. We considered how the Isaiah 7 prophecy fits the context of the historical situation, as well as providing a future promise of a virgin birth. We thought about why the Lord sometimes told people he healed not to proclaim it to others, and why some people disobeyed that. Finally, we moved into Mark 4 and discussed the parables there and the lesson of the Lord stilling the sea. He had the power to do that, and instructs us that our faith must not be displaced by fear of things lesser than God.
