Our teacher takes us further in the introduction to Zephaniah. We learned that he prophesied in Josiah's reign, 640-609 B.C. Also, Nineveh had not yet been destroyed, so Zephaniah must have prophesied before 612 B.C. We also learned about Josiah's tender heart to the things of God and the prophecy of a disaster that was scheduled to come upon them because the Israelites had gone into idolatry.
