From the Pulpit...
Mark 12 and 13 - Matt Postiff
We had a special Father's day prayer for those who have lost father or offspring, and then read 1 Samuel 10, and then taught through about the widow's mites
From 8:46, the bulk of our time was spent in Mark 12 regarding the sacrificial offering of the widow and the opening verses of the Olivet Discourse in chapter 13. We noted the importance of the widow's heart in her giving, how the Lord sees how people give, and also the two key questions that the disciples asked the Lord about the future.
After service we enjoyed some fellowship around the table as we sent off two dear friends to a new job in a faraway place.
