From the Pulpit...

We began a new series in the book of 1 Thessalonians with the first two verses. We examine some details about the authors, the recipients, the greeting of the apostle, and his thankful prayer for the new church family. The application to us is not direct (as with a command) but is indirect in terms of the example of both how the church responded to the preaching of the gospel, and how Paul prayed constantly and comprehensively for the church with thanksgiving.
