The people of Israel were setting their hearts and lives to be holy, because the Lord is holy and He demands holiness from His people. Without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). But you can only be holy if you confess your iniquities to God and then receive His abundant forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Then ask Him for help, and resolve to live for Him. Take whatever steps are needed to do so.
